“Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” the start of a new trilogy starring Tom Holland, will premiere on July 31.
The film will feature Spider-Man in a world where his secret identity as Peter Parker has been forgotten by everyone. He will be forced to live in a world that has forgotten him while facing a new threat bigger than ever before.
Bruce Banner says in the trailer that Peter’s DNA is mutating and could be dangerous.
Banner also states that “spiders have three life cycles. When between cycles, it can leave the spider vulnerable to threats. And for those spiders who make it through, it amounts to a kind of rebirth.” This could mean that nearing the end of the film, Spider-Man could become more powerful than he was before.
The film’s main casting stars will include actors such as Tom Holland as Spider-Man/Peter Parker, Zendaya as Mary Jane Watson, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Michael Mando as Scorpion, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner and Jon Bernthal returning as the Punisher.
On May 12, Marvel released a new “Punisher” movie as a bridge to introduce the new villain of “Brand New Day.” Though it has high ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, the movie is rated R, so student discretion is advised.
According to actor Tom Holland, this movie was filmed in a brand new environment where fans were at the filming site behind barcades, supporting Tom Holland.
“This is the first time we’ve had fans on set for day one,” Holland said.
Maddux Fuchs, a longtime Marvel fan and a graduating senior, gave his thoughts on the trailer, “we’re going to see Punisher. That’s what I’m excited for,” said Fuchs. “I want a good ending for Spider-Man.”
Chillie Heeler, a senior and a fan of the franchise, is interested in the film. “My favorite part about the trailer was when Spider Man was swinging and he hit the bus glass,” said Heeler. “I’m hoping that this will come out soon and it will hit the blockbusters.”
It appears that fans have high hopes for the film and think that it could be the best live action “Spider-Man” film.
