After almost a year of no news from the fish in the library, most people assumed that the fish had finally stopped stealing items from the classrooms at Sage Creek. However, no one knew that the reason for this was preparation for something much bigger.
In October of 2025, they finally acted.
News spread quickly of the Louvre robbery in France. Although the human suspects were found, students as well as Ms. Shali noticed that the fish had been missing from the tank at around the same time. Gilbert and Guppie returned a few days later, seemingly innocent. So were the fish behind the heist after all?
Students passing through the library have noticed that the tank seems much more glittery and colorful after their return, hinting that the stolen jewelry could be in there after all. Students and teachers alike have tried questioning the two fish, but they deny any involvement in the crime.
People also suspect that the library fish were in contact with the newer fish in Marine Science in the first trimester. The newer fish weren’t a part of the heist, but they supposedly helped connect Gilbert and Guppie to France and helped with the transport.
After the Louvre, their heists at the school have picked back up. In room 2307, Mrs. Hurlimann has reported that her TV remote and markers have gone missing while the journalism students were away at STN.
Mrs. Shali, the librarian in charge of the fish, commented about the issue.
“It’s their 4th birthday on April 1,” Ms. Shali said. “So they might be collecting items to celebrate.”
So were the fish really a part of the Louvre robbery, or are they now just picking up their life of crime? They haven’t been sighted in any robbery, but it’s only a matter of time before they are, so every student at Sage Creek should keep an eye out for the two criminal fish.
