A mysterious tornado touched down in Carlsbad, disrupting the flow of the city. Many locals have noticed an influx of eccentric visitors calling themselves munchkins.
Since the arrival of these visitors, they have been in constant song about a strange yellow road that has appeared at the front gates of Sage Creek High School. The road stretches all the way to an unknown land that nobody has been able to reach.
Two women have been by this bizarre road since its appearance. One of the women is dressed in pink, and the other has green skin and is dressed in all black. They have been fighting at the gate about a pair of shoes that appear to have special abilities.
The shoes come from a girl stuck underneath an unfamiliar old wooden house, which doesn’t look like it’s from Carlsbad with its 1800s resemblance. Many have asked why these women are fighting over a dead girl’s shoes.
The woman in pink refused to comment, but the green-skinned lady mentioned that she deserves the shoes. She said, “They’re my sister’s shoes, she lost them while running the mile in PE!”
Since school administration has caught wind of the situation, students have been told to “stay clear of the glowing road during lunch and the passing period.” While teachers have been trying to incorporate the road into lessons, chemistry classes have been studying the chemical makeup of the road, while math classes are studying the slope of the yellow bricks.
Despite this, multiple students have reportedly started following the yellow path, with one remarking, “The path is more interesting than fourth period.”
Meanwhile, the City of Carlsbad is struggling to provide a plan to keep the situation under wraps. One city official stated, “We are prepared for wildfires and earthquakes, not mysterious roads and mystical visitors!”
Witnesses have additionally reported strange weather forming near the yellow road in the hours following the original tornado. Small gusts of wind have been formed around the start of the road, occasionally strong enough to scatter papers. Some even claim to hear faint music in the distance.
Local investigators visited the campus in an attempt to figure out how to get rid of it. One investigator commented that the road “ doesn’t seem to be made out of any known material” and “might be magic.”
The longer the road stays on campus, the more it has gained attention far beyond Sage Creek. Residents from around San Diego have been coming to see the road for themselves, some even following it down on their E-Bikes. Despite efforts to keep people away during school hours, more and more people arrive every day to catch a glimpse that appears to be straight out of a movie scene.
For now, the road remains a mystery. Whether it will disappear or expand beyond Sage Creek is unknown. Until then, staff and students are left answerless and wondering what might happen next. Until we get those answers, this will go down in Sage Creek history as the most interesting thing to happen since the school was built, SCHS has been changed for good.
