Confirmed by Nintendo and Illumination, we’re getting a sequel to the groundbreaking “Super Mario Bros. Movie.” “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” will be based on the video game “Super Mario Galaxy.”
Starring cast members are returning such as, Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi and Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach. New cast members such as Brie Larson as Rosalina and Benny Safdie as Bowser Jr. are also featured in the movie.
Bowser Jr.’s look seems to be a mix between his “Super Mario Sunshine” and “Super Mario Wonder” looks with his paintbrush from “Super Mario Sunshine”.
One can only guess it’ll follow the same or a similar plot as its inspiration “Super Mario Galaxy” the video game. The heroes seem to be going to outer space when they find a strange Warp Star from “Super Mario Galaxy.” In the game, Bowser kidnaps Princess Peach and takes her to the center of the universe to make his own galaxy, forcing Mario to go to space and team up with Rosalina and her Comet Observatory. The Characters travel to different galaxies each with their own gravity to power his ship.
Teagan Hamilton, a senior at Sage Creek, saw the trailer for “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.” “My favorite part was when Bowser Jr. showed up,” Hamilton said.
Freshman Tyson Kuhn is looking forward to the “Super Mario Galaxy Movie” “I think I am most excited about the fact that instead of being a generic ‘Super Mario Movie 2’ they took one of their video games and expanded the movie using that video game.”
“The character I’m most excited for is Bowser Jr.,” Kuhn says.
