  • A Carlsbad police officer watches the field. During the drill, local authorities were involved to ensure that everything ran smoothly.

  • Students head back to their period four classes after the conclusion of the drill. They are released according to class to ensure order.

  • Sage Creek ASL teacher Mrs. Newsom helps lead the fire drill. Students and teachers alike passed papers to her to keep track of attendance.

  • Students line up on the field in organized zones during the drill. This helps ensure an overall orderly evacuation.

  • History teacher Mr. Frank Henry leads his advisory students to the evacuation zone. In each class on campus, a red bag is stored with first aid equipment in case of emergency.

  • Over 1,300 students, teachers and staff filled Bobcat Stadium during the fire drill. This field acts as a safe point in case of an actual emergency.

  • Students walk collectively towards the stadium in a calm manner. Fire drills are practiced bi-annually at Sage Creek to ensure everyone is prepared in case of emergency.

  • Roughly 50 lines are set across the field in order to effectively account for students and class numbers. Head counts are another example of safety practices.
