Ammonite Place displays one of its only moving decorations. A moving train circles around a small town, crossing a bridge along the way.

Ammonite Place has brought a Christmas delight to family and friends who have attended in the past or are now trying it out for the first time. Though The Sage has covered this festive neighborhood in the past in Deck the Halls: Ammonite Court Sets Up Holiday Light Show by Georgia Scherrer to examine the neighborhood’s setup,; now it is time to get into the festivities.

Packed with holiday music, synchronized lights, a stand carrying many Christmas goods and numerous different house props to set eyes upon, Ammonite Place is nothing short of a get-in-the-holiday-mood tradition. This also means many traditions could be forged just by these simple but stunning decorations.

First-timer Heather Caliendo has noted that she will definitely be returning in the future.

“Ammonite Place feels very joyful, festive and wonderful to see,” Caliendo said. “Having a neighborhood and community come together and do something like this is very nice. I also found the synchronized lights and music to be very creative.”

With Christmas comes bonds and memories made between family and friends. Ammonite Place’s small but comforting holiday vibes are what establish and keep on traditions made with the people special to you.

Another first timer, Helen Smith, has enjoyed the experience with her family.

“Seeing the joy that pops up on his face as he watches the lights and decorations is great,” Smith said of her baby. “It’s been very enjoyable so far and I look forward to seeing the rest of the houses.”

Powered by a single generator, Ammonite Place’s synchronized lights down the block is truly a stunning sight. Along with lights comes a festive playlist that includes classics like “Jingle Bell Rock” by Bobby Helms and John Frederick Coots’ “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.” So whether staying in with those loved ones or going out to experience holiday cheer at places like Ammonite Place, have an incredible holiday break and happy holidays.

If interested, make sure to check out this festive neighborhood at Ammonite Place, Carlsbad before the celebrations end on New Year’s Day.
