Red Ribbon Week Assembly Encourages Drug Prevention

Red bracelets are given out at the entrance of the bobcat arena that proudly state: “Reaching My Dreams My Choices My Future.” Within the mix, there were bracelets with a red ribbon heart design.
Natalia Fanucchi and Davian Rangel, ASB seniors and bobsquad presidents, pose with a red balloon that says “live life drug free.” The two incentivize school spirit and participation, evident in their involvement at the assembly.
Guest speaker Attila Hadnagy shares his life story and how drugs negatively impacted him. His speech intended to influence students to not use drugs due to their detrimental effects.
Students sit on the floor to watch as the speaker continues his presentation. Some students even went as far as to wear red shoes to support the cause.
Seniors Catherine “Cat” Laube and Dahlia Nichols form a heart with their hands. Many students sat with their grade level and friends during the assembly.
Susan Woolley, a math teacher at Sage Creek, listens as the presenter speaks to the student body and faculty. Woolley wore the color red in support of drug-abuse prevention.
