Fire and Ice Boys Basketball Game

  • Sage Creek students stand for the national anthem before Friday’s game. The game’s theme was Fire and Ice in which seniors and juniors wore blue for ice and sophomores and freshmen wore red for fire.

  • Boys Varsity Basketball stand together before the start of their first game of the season wearing practice jerseys with #PlayForAndrew on the back. The boys look to put up strong performances throughout the season in remembrance of Andrew Smidt who passed away last year.

  • Senior, Vishal Jayanthi goes up for the tipoff to kick off Friday’s game against Del Norte High School. Jayanthi, a top player in the state looks to lead Sage Creek to another CIF and state title.

  • Senior, Caleb McGrath goes up for a three-point shot during a neck-and-neck game against Del Norte High School. The Bobcats fought hard all four quarters in their first preseason game.

  • Seniors, Louie Weinhaus, Maddox Aceves-White, and Caleb McGrath guard Del Norte players in an attempt to add to their total points. These seniors look to leave a mark on the rest of the team before graduation.

  • Sage Creek Dance Company amazed their audience with a stellar performance during half-time. The girls look forward to performing in many more games this basketball season.

  • Boys varsity basketball substitutes view the game from the bench, waiting to make their mark on the team. In a back and forth game, Sage Creek needed all the subs they had to keep up with their strong opponent.

  • Vishal Jayanthi looks on to the court as he prepares to check back into the game after regrouping on the bench. Jayanthi was one of the top scorers during this game, although the Bobcats fell short and lost this game with a score of 56-53.

  • ASB members Zoebelle Hinojosa and Taylor Ledbetter hype up the crowd during Friday’s game. The ASB pulled off a very successful game as many students attended and stayed loud the entirety of the game.
