When you walk into any classroom at Sage Creek, you are sure to see a blue recycling bin alongside a trash can. The recycling bins encourage us to recycle paper, plastic, and organics, but the reality in Carlsbad Unified School District is a different story. All items that are placed in the recycling bins are actually sent to the trash with the rest of the rubbish that is disposed. In response to this problem, there has been a new recycling initiative proposed that will hopefully apply to all schools.
