3D Design
3D Design is a two trimester class taught by Cathryn Burroughs. According to the 3D Design syllabus, the class is designed for the intermediate art student. 3D design introduces the basics of 3 dimensional design, through various hand-building and throwing projects. Students will learn to create hand-built forms which are both functional and nonfunctional. Students use a variety of mediums. Each unit is designed to develop aesthetic awareness and to connect and apply what is learned in the visual arts to other subject areas and careers. The class’s curriculum will include the five content standards for Visual Arts Education.
“My favorite thing about 3D design is that she gives a lot of creative power so if we have a good idea that is possible she’ll normally let us do it. Like its very free flowing and it’s whatever you want it to be… like you can implement your own ideas.” said senior Annika Lundrigan.
