What would you say is the difficulty level of this class?

“I think any student can be successful in it, but for some it is going to take more work than others.” (Jamie Solis, teacher)

“I think it’s fairly easy because a lot of it is common sense[,] you learn a couple technical things, but then the rest is kind of just figuring out where stuff goes and linking things together.” (Tina Stanley, senior)

“I think it’s fairly simple, but just solve the [problem sets]. They have a lot of stuff to cover, so it could get a little difficult.” (Hansle Goh, senior)

What is the workload like?

“I think it’s fair. I think compared to AP classes it’s fair. It’s hard for students that aren’t good at time management.” (Jamie Solis, teacher)

“It’s really not that much work. Every now and then we get a problem set, we have a problem set each unit, and you slowly work on it, but they are pretty simple. You just have to be paying attention and don’t wait until last minute.” (Tina Stanley, senior)

“There’s only one problem set that’s due once before the test, so if you plan it out it’s fairly easy, but if you cram it and procrastinate then it’s kind of difficult.” (Hansle Goh, senior)

Any tips for students looking to take this class?

“Don’t wait until last minute on the problem set. Make sure you are paying attention in class, because if you are paying attention and you take good notes and review them before the test, there is not really much else you need to do. It’s a fairly simple class. Probably the best AP I’ve ever taken in terms of relevance to real life and work level.” (Tina Stanley, senior)

“Be ready for an enthusiastic teacher in the morning, and stay positive in the class.” (Hansle Goh, senior)

Is there anything you would have done differently now that you have taken this course?

“I would’ve taken the problem set more seriously because they actually do have a pretty good impact on your grade.” (Tina Stanley, senior)

“I would be more positive in the morning.” (Hansle Goh, senior)

What kind of student should take this class/Why would a student want to take this class?

“Because it’s awesome. Student feedback: A lot of students like it they think it’s a lot of fun. I also think it’s a great class because there is no prerequisite and it’s relevant to the world around them.” (Jamie Solis, teacher)

What kind of careers could this class lead to?

“Anything you want, the world is your oyster.” (Jamie Solis, teacher)
