Ten years in and there’s no stopping in sight. Harper Hughes, a sophomore, has been playing soccer since the age of five. At age nine she started playing competitively, and last July she made a verbal commitment to University of Utah to play on their soccer team.

Her journey may seem completed, but it is just the beginning.

“A lot of people think that now that I’ve committed [to Utah] my job is done, but it’s kind of just getting started,” Hughes explained, “I need to be ready for when I am at Utah so I can play right away and be a part of the team as quickly as I possible.”
