In varsity baseball’s tournament game, senior Drake Benner hit a massive homerun to put him as the winner of KUSI All Sports Report Play of the Week.

His hit occurred in the semi-final game against the St. Paul Swordsmen. A big inning led to an 11-4 win including Benner’s two-run slam that ended up in the backyard of a neighboring house.

“It was a surprise to me, but it was an honor to be qualified; it was lucky [that] there was a camera there. I am also pleased with how my team is doing right now,” Benner said.
