Sage Creek's Six Game-Changers

Meet the six players who will change the game for Sage Creek Varsity Basketball.

Xavier Allison: Point Guard, 5’10”, 160lb, aka “X”

Last year, “X” lead the team in points scored as well as assists. He totaled with 147 points in 25 games and is not looking to slow down this year. What he lacks in height, he gets back in his vertical and court sense. He is never afraid to make a pass or take a tough shot. He always plays with his heart out and team in his mind. All of Sage Creek is looking forward to what he will bring to the court.

Bryce Buscher: Forward, 6’2” 170lb, aka “Buscher”

Last year, Buscher was the person everybody rallied behind. He has lots of energy and didn’t let anybody get in his way. He works hard on defense and will fight for every rebound near the basket. The crowd is ready for his emotional outbursts and excited to be a part of every play he is in.

Teiyler Scott: Forward/Center, 6’4”, 180lb, aka “T-Scott”

Scott can be one of the most lethal guys on the court. Last year he struggled in a few areas, but showed times of excellence. With his height we might be able to see a lot of his highlights as well as some fancy footwork. The game may not come down to the post man, but easy layups could really take the stress off in the later parts of the game. We will all be looking out for some big slams this year from Scott.

Tyler Franchimone: Guard, 5’9”, 150lb, aka “Franch”

Franch last year was off and on. He had times where he was close to breaking the most amount of three’s in one game to playing small amounts of time. He can be extremely dangerous against some teams so he is someone to guard close. If he can keep up a consistently good front on his attacking opponents, he will stay long enough in the game to tally a high number of buckets. This year everyone hopes they get to keep their three fingers in the air when Franch gets the ball.

Dylan Rossi: Guard/Forward, 6’3”, 170lb, aka “Rossi”

Rossi is one of those guys with a trick up his sleeve. He’s not as strong as his opponents but his behind the back eurostep will put them on their butts. He gets to the rim well with his fancy moves but finishing has always been his weakness. If he can work on getting the ball in the net he will have the skills to be undefendable all over the court. Having someone to bring the team together during a rough game will be necessary this season. Rossi will be the one to keep them in check.

Jalien Nelson: Guard, 5’9”, 130lb

Jalien is a freshman coming from Valley Middle School and doesn’t act like one. He is known all over the county for his basketball skills and is not afraid to show it. From what I have heard, he has what it takes to fill the hole X leaves when he graduates. This year he may not get a lot of playing time but he will surely be the number one pick as X’s substitute when X needs a rest. He doesn’t need to be told to let it fly because his shots are dropping. This kid’s speed, jump shot, and floor sense will be helpful this year, but even better his next few years at Sage.
