Sage Creek has changed sports leagues from last year due to multiple factors. Last year Sage Creek was in the Avocado League which included local schools such as El Camino, La Costa Canyon, Carlsbad, Vista, and Rancho Buena Vista. The switch will remove El Camino, Vista, and RBV and replace them with schools Torrey Pines, Canyon Crest Academy, and San Dieguito. This change has affected all of the sports Sage Creek is participating in.

This movement was simply a recurrent rearrangement. The biggest change for other schools is that there are now only three leagues for football instead of four. This change is likely to occur in another two years and is determined based off of geographical regions, traditional rivalries, and competitive balances.
