With its moderate to difficult terrain, Hosp Grove Park has various trails that challenge hikers to substitute traditional pavement for dirt paths. The reward of hiking is the fresh air and an exercise that connects everybody to the scenic charm of Carlsbad’s hidden parks.

Green floods the park’s secluded paths with large amounts of trees and bushes. A dirt path curves into a side trail which leads to the other side of the park.

There are various plants and flowers that accentuate the park’s hidden beauty. Behind it, a small bench for people to rest and enjoy the atmosphere.

Sage Creek student Alya Sabra heads towards the main trail beyond the bridge. The hiking path is well-kept, with large trees providing shade along the way.

Vehicles fill the lanes in the busy intersection on Jefferson St. and Marron Rd. There is a banner which hints at the local golf course attractions like The Crossings.

The environment provides great habitats for different types of animals. A peaceful home is ensured for the various birds and squirrels in the community.

Next to the park, North County Plaza offers a variety of shops like Marshalls and Ding Tea. The plentiful amount of palm trees with warm weather perfectly set the scene for a typical day in Carlsbad.

Eucalyptus trees stand in the foreground while the Buena Vista Lagoon shines in the back. Past the large body of water is the 78 freeway separating Carlsbad from Oceanside.
