Sage Creek’s campus has typically stayed the same over the years. That’s why the Wingstop headquarters at Sage Creek will be completed on the Monday after spring break. For the first four weeks, students will get 90% discounts on all meals, including boneless wings, tenders, or a sandwich, along with fries and a fountain drink.
Vegetarian options are provided upon request. Construction will begin on April 5 and finish on April 13 with the help of students. 300 teens will be carefully chosen for labor and will get an email by the end of the week.
Dillon Rooks is a sophomore at Sage Creek who is excited for this new addition that it is affecting her day-to-day life.
“I can’t stop jumping around my house and have been constantly buying Wingstop Merch from SHEIN,” Rooks said.
In the future, the district expects students to buy food from Wingstop at least once a week. They also encourage them to invite family and friends. Sadly, some problems come along with this and will affect lives drastically.
Another student Alya Sabra, is terrified to be chosen as a construction employee.
“Every night, I constantly freak out, hoping that I won’t get chosen. It feels like the Hunger Games!” Sabra said.
If all goes to plan, then students will be able to happily enjoy an almost-free meal at Wingstop on Sage Creek’s very own campus for the price of child labor. Although some disapprove of this new installation, there is a beneficial reason that includes delicious food!
