With the March Madness tournament entering the final four, there have been some recent discussions about the biggest basketball tournament being moved to a different month. 

In his most recent article, ESPN Reporter Shakoi O’Neal stated that “due to low viewership in the March Madness tournament, they are going to move the historic tournament a few months back.”  

The NCAA committee has stated that they want to fight for viewership with the NFL to see who would get more money. They think this is the only way to earn more money and show that college sports are more important than professional sports. 

Lebron James has stated in his most recent Instagram story that he likes the idea and wants the tournament to be moved to September and have the famous tournament called the September Sizzle. 

Most people would think fans would be outraged about this idea,  but in reality, fans think this is the best thing to happen to the tournament.  

“I think that September Sizzle is an amazing change to society, and did you know if you get a perfect bracket, you will get free hotdogs from 7-Eleven for life!” Femrite said.  

This added addition raises the stakes of filling out brackets for the tournament and might attract more views.

As this idea might sound controversial, players and fans love this idea and it will add more entertainment to track the viewership between college and professional sports.
