The March 20 track and field meet at Canyon Crest Academy was full of exciting races and events. Sage Creek students competed against Canyon Crest students in long distance, short distance, throwing and jumps.
Sage Creek had many highlights, such as in the 1600 meter run, where Max Marchi ran a time of 4:33.18 and Chloe Barrett ran 5:20.05. Sage also did well in short distance, with Jack Mullen running 10.83 seconds and Ashley Garcia running 13.12 seconds in the 100.
Mairead Frankel threw 138′ 2 feet in discus while Michael Gergurich threw 108′ 3 feet. Michael Gergurich also threw 35′ 2 feet in shot put while Mairead Frankel threw 34′ 7 feet.
In the long jump, Cheng Jin jumped 18 feet, and Rosie Frankel jumped 15 feet. Carys Guckenberger got 5’2” in the high jump, and Cheng Jin got 37’11.25” for triple jump.Overall, Sage did very well in all competitions.
