“Minions: Rise of Gru”

The Illumination Production “Minions” series is one that everyone of all ages can enjoy. That’s exactly why Universal Studios’ release of “Minions: Rise of Gru” this summer was already going to be in the top five. 

The “Minions” series surrounds the journey of a short Hungarian villain named Gru and his thousands of yellow, small, pill-shaped Minions. As opposed to the “Despicable Me” series, the “Minions” series focuses on the Minions instead of Gru. The movie is about the creation of Gru as a supervillain while he attempts to join a criminal group named Vicous 6. 

His interview ends up going belly-up, and he and his minions make a run for it. He ends up receiving guidance from the original leader of Viscous 6, having him realize that even bad guys need some help from their friends. Minions never fail to disappoint, which is why “Minions: Rise of Gru” is one of the top five movies of the summer.
