The history of valentine’s day, traced all the way back to the third century originated from the illegality of saint valentine performing marriage upon young men when the roman emperor claudius illegalized it. Out of such a feat, as time evolved, this day of love was celebrated in other ways as well by various societies. From cards to candy hearts, the holiday of all things love, is much more than simply just a “hallmark holiday,” but in fact a day that stems from many romantic historical events!
