It grew from 85 million views in October 2017 to 138 million views in April 2018. In a typical mukkbang video, a person whispers in a mic as they eat a variety of foods with different textures. People have been eating food such as honeycomb, sugar-coated fruits, and sea grapes, a type of caviar. The sound of people crunching on sugar-coated strawberries or popping caviar in their mouths is satisfying to the senses.
