Broncos at the Vikings
After a rough start to their season, the Broncos (3-6) had hoped to defeat the Vikings (7-3) in Minnesota on Sunday. The Broncos came out swinging in the first half with two field goals and two touchdowns minutes apart. The Vikings could do little to stop the powerful Broncos offense and went into the second half down by twenty.
The Vikings were not ready to give up just yet and came into the second half as fierce as ever. Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins found tight end Irv Smith Jr. in the endzone for the Vikings first touchdown. The Broncos were unable to get a touchdown in the third quarter and instead opted to kick a field goal to end the third quarter with a 23-7 lead. The Broncos fell apart in the fourth quarter and allowed the Vikings to make back-to-back touchdowns. The Broncos tried and failed to score the touchdown they needed and the Vikings took the field once again to score their fourth and final touchdown to end the game. The Vikings beat the Broncos 27-23. The Vikings are now (8-3) and the Broncos are (3-7).
