The Nightmare Before Christmas
“The Nightmare Before Christmas” is a dual holiday film: being both a Christmas and Halloween movie, it includes frightening stop-motion animations, yet also a cheery element of Christmas celebration. The story begins when Jack Skellington, the adored pumpkin king in Halloweentown, becomes bored with the tradition of scaring people in the ‘real world’. Jack stumbles upon Christmastown and instantly becomes eager to take control of it, yet unfortunately, a number of troubles get in his way. “The Nightmare Before Christmas” displays a neverending holiday spirit and a great balance of light-to-dark tones.

Jack Skellington has gotten bored with Halloweentown and when he finds Christmastown, his scheme is to take over the town… by replacing Santa’s role. Now that his plot is seemingly successful, he needs to act like Santa.
