Sabrina Spellman and her boyfriend Harvey attend a Halloween party on her birthday. After hours of fun with friends, Sabrina quickly realizes that it’s almost midnight and needs to frantically get out of there. It’s finally time for her Dark Baptism; the ultimatum where Sabrina has to choose to be either a witch or being mortal for the rest of her life.
This Netflix Original Series dives into the realm of witchcraft and everything magical. The first episode is a great start to the spirit of Halloween with a magical, yet spooky feeling to it: Sabrina is a half-witch half-mortal and has to choose to either be a witch or be mortal for the rest of her life. Though it seems obvious to pick being a witch, practically Sabrina’s entire life revolves around her mortal life and she’s torn on the decision. “Sabrina” is a coming-of-age series with a wicked spin to it that’s full of amazing plot twists. As the series goes on, it gets darker and becomes more serious and satanic. If you want to be on the edge of your seat, get into the series. Episode 5 “Chapter Five: Dreams in a Witch House” of the first season is a horrifying series of events where a demon takes over the dreams of Sabrina and her family. It’s a fever dream, only this case a nightmare. If you’re looking for the classic Halloween feel, go for the first episode. “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” has a certain charm under the evil glamour of it all, and will make you wish it was the month of Halloween up until December.
