Karaoke, Volleyball, Pizza: all things to go with a tailgate. Sage Creek ASB is holding a volleyball tailgate this Friday, Oct. 19 in front of the PAC. Following that, girls volleyball will be playing their Senior night game versus Oceanside High School. The event will start at 4 p.m. and the game begins at 5 p.m. Juniors and ASB members Hannah Campagna and Cierra Healey are the event coordinators for the volleyball tailgate.

“It’s going to be a fun community event to pull the school together and support our girls volleyball team,” Campagna said.

The tailgate is going to be an exciting pre-game festivity filled with Knockout Pizza, Baked Bear, karaoke and cornhole. the home match itself against Oceanside is going to be a memorable one. The volleyball team will hold a huge night for the seniors on the team for their last in-season game before CIF. This is to honor the work and dedication they have given for their past four years of volleyball at Sage Creek.

“It’s supposed to be kinda emotional,” senior Bonnie Brasher said, “[For] all the seniors, this is their last game for league.”

Brasher has played with Sage since her freshman year and she wants to see the most school spirit for her last league game. The theme is pink out which also corresponds to the colors of the jerseys that the team will be playing. Volleyball Program Director David Savage dedicated the whole month of Oct. to wearing these uniforms.

“Pink is our way of raising awareness [for Breast Cancer], getting people to talk about it… and we are down to help the cause,” Savage said.

He too along with many others wants to see the stadium filled with bobcats cheering for volleyball.

Tailgate, pink, volleyball, senior night. This Friday will be eventful for Sage Creek. Great food and fun will take place along with a chance to be loud at the volleyball game.

“We have great students here, a great Bobsquad, especially when they come out in full force,” Savage said!
