Full List & Recap Of 2018 Oscars Nominations

Full+List+%26+Recap+Of+2018+Oscars+Nominations

Well, the moment is finally here once again. With the Golden Globes officially wrapped, we now are entering the biggest awards show for the film industry. This past Tuesday, the official nominations for this year’s Academy Awards were officially announced.

In terms of any big surprises, one of the obvious ones is James Franco not getting a Best Actor or Best Director nomination for his performance and directing for “The Disaster Artist”. Due to reports of recent sexual allegations being placed on him, that might have affected his chances to be in the running for a nomination. The other big one was the comic-book film “Logan” getting a Best Adapted Screenplay nomination. This marks the first time a comic-book movie has been nominated for this category. The last nomination or win for a comic book film was last year for “Suicide Squad” and more famously in 2008 for Heath Ledger’s win for Best Supporting Actor for “The Dark Knight”. The other one was the Paul Thomas Anderson film “Phantom Thread” getting a Best Picture and Best Director nomination. This film marks Daniel-Day Lewis’s final performance before he retires from acting.

With that out of the way, check out the full list of 2018 Oscars Nominations below
