Kim Kardashian Robbery

Kim+Kardashian+Robbery

In the early hours of October 3, five men dressed as police officers rang the bell at the No Address (yes, that’s its actual name) hotel in Paris, France. The concierge opened the front gate to let the policemen in, and it was then that he was held at gunpoint and told he must lead the five men dressed as policemen to the room in which Kim Kardashian-West was staying.

Once they arrived at the room, the concierge was directed to open the door. To their surprise, Kardashian-West was the one to open the door. Her bodyguard, at this time, was with her sisters in the city. They felt there was no need for a bodyguard, since Kardashian-West was safely in her room for the night. Once in the hotel room, the men tied up Kardashian-West on her ankles, her hands behind her back, and covered her mouth with duct tape. She was then locked into the bathroom of the hotel room, leaving the concierge in there with her. At one point, according to Daily Mail, Kardashian-West even asked the concierge, “Are we gonna die?”, to which his response was simply “I don’t know”.

The men robbed Kardashian-West of all the jewelry she had on her, worth a total of $5.6 million, and then left. Neither  Kardashian-West or the concierge were harmed. Once the men had fled the building, Kardashian-West was able to slip her hands from the zip ties that had been placed around her ankles and free herself and the concierge.

Now, the question most people are asking is how did these men know exactly where Kardashian-West was staying? Were they stalkers or was she just dumb by posting on her Snapchat her every move like always, which resulted in knowing her current location? And really, they only had ONE bodyguard with them in Paris? It’s fricken Kim Kardashian, and she was left alone in a hotel room?

It truly is awful what happened to her, and I bet it was insanely scary in the moment as well.  But, is there a chance that it was partially her fault? She didn’t think posting her every move on Snapchat would result in someone in the area recognizing the background of all her selfies and being able to pinpoint her exact location?

In my opinion, I think people these days, especially teens, do not realize the repercussions of their actions on social media. Once something is posted, it IS there forever. Even if you delete it, there will always be a trace of it. People with thousands or millions of people who follow them, such as Kim Kardashian-West, should be more cautious and aware of what they post because it could result in something like this.kim-kardashian-arrives-at-the-e
