Friday the 13th

A day of bad luck always brings about the serial killings of camp counselors having a bit to much fun. This movie kicked off the series starring the classic hockey mask wearing, machete-wielding psycho killer. Even though this movie has its fair share of cheesy dialogue and deaths, it’s accompanied by captivating cinematography, great sound design, a stunning soundtrack, and amazing dummy work that’s rather revolutionary for its time. “Friday the 13th” throws you into the Halloween spirit the further you get into the movie. It has the right amount of frisky camp counselors, mystery, murders, and plot twists to keep invested through the cheesiness and to put you in the mood to trick or treat.
