Be Our Guest: VAPA Presents the 4th Semi-Annual Cafe Bobcat

An evening of live entertainment and desserts awaits attendees at the fourth semi-annual Cafe Bobcat, a Visual and Performing Arts benefit event featuring student performances and art work.

The showcase will be held in the cafeteria on Friday, Oct. 14th, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The night consists of a Halloween theme where all guests are encouraged to enter the costume contest for a chance to win a prize. Admission is free, although a $5 donation is requested.

The evening includes a lively lineup of student-performed scenes, solo songs, an orchestra quartet, a poetry reading, and a display of featured artwork.

“[I love] being on stage and just the energy theater gives off…and just feeling the atmosphere.” Junior Jeff Wattner said when asked about his favorite part about performing.

Alongside the live show, guests are invited to enjoy from a selection of homemade delicacies and desserts available for purchase. All proceeds are to benefit the drama department and help fund future productions.

Cafe Bobcat is a great way to kick of the year with Sage Creek Visual and Performing Arts,” Theatre and Art teacher Jillian Porter said, “It is an ideal way to connect with the arts program and welcome newcomers into the Sage Creek VAPA family!
